I always find it exciting when I come across new companies working to offer products that are sustainable and empowering consumers to make decision that can change the world. I have compiled a list of a few of my favourite businesses that are doing more than their bit to make our planet better for everyone.
Who gives a crap?
This super cool (Australian) toilet paper company makes recycled toilet paper, paper towels and tissues which are completely tree free. They are 100% recycled and there is no habit destruction involved in the process and whats more; they donate 50% of their profits to non-profit organisations working to install toilets in disadvantaged communities!
We have been buying Who Gives a Crap products for a while now and it is so great to have big boxes arrive at our doorstep which we know are helping communities to improve their sanitary facilities and eradicate diseases. I also love the fact that the whole delivery comes free of plastic! ;) If you give a crap about 289,000 children under five dying every year from diarrhoea diseases caused by poor water and sanitation then I urge you to jump over to the Who Gives a Crap website and put in an order. (It's great value too!)

ThankYou.
This company follows a similar mission to Who Gives a Crap in striving to end the effects of global poverty. 100% of their profits are invested into their fund which is then used to help install toilets and deliver water to struggling communities around the world. This company, also Australian, had a rough start however they were supported by local members of the community and consumers and now their products are available in almost all supermarkets. We have their hand lotion and hand wash and I can assure you they are the most beautiful products ever! They smell amazing and are completely natural. So if you like skin products and want to feel even better about your choices as a consumer, I highly recommend Thankyou products!!!
Thankyou.
Thankyou.
Keep cup
Rolling with the Australian theme, Keep Cup is one of my favourite sustainable companies which has grown a lot since their establishment in Melbourne. They offer a wide range of re-usable coffee cups in different sizes and colours. Originally, their cups were plastic but the idea was that they were fully re-usable, trendy, and can be fitted in barista coffee machines. Now, Keep Cup has cups made from glass with cork bands to avoid additional plastic. I love their brand because you can design your own cup with your favourite colours and have it delivered at a low price. If you are a coffee lover, stop and consider how many single-use plastic cups you could eliminate with one trendy fun keep cup!
