Hello fellow eco-warriors!
Yes, I have been away for ages and I know that I'm hopeless when it comes to actually keeping something going but reading my previous posts, I was actually surprised to find some interesting articles that I really enjoyed reading. I would love to get this blog off the ground, which I think would also give me some more motivation to write more often because I have realised that this is my passion and I really want to share it with other young people to ignite a movement that will spark change in our lives and help to preserve our only home.
I thought I'd start by sharing some of my favourite enviro-blogs which I highly recommend that you check out. These people are so incredible and are the ones inspiring me everyday to get up and make a difference. It's great to have so many ideas and motivation coming from these people and I hope that my blog can help spread their messages among young people.
Trash is for tossers...
Lauren Singer is a top-notch eco-activist living and documenting her zero-waste journey in NYC. All her trash from the last 4 years fits into one small mason jar, other than that, she lives completely waste free! Hearing her Ted Talk was a major source of inspiration for me and it is because of her that I am making my own changes to reduce my waste as much as possible. Check out her blog here, its really inspiring.
Tree Hugger...
If you want a more general blog then Tree Hugger is a great one to have a look at. Run by a team of environmental journalists, it publishes articles on environmental design, science, technology, living, energy and is the perfect way to keep up with current enviro-news.
Eco Warrior Princess...
Another female eco-superstar! Jennifer Nini is a sustainable fashion blogger passionate about keeping our lives as green as possible. Based in Australia, always a plus, Jennifer always has interesting articles and also has lots of tips for new bloggers. Check her out!
Treading my own path...
And to finish it off, one of my personal favourites. Lindsay is an incredibly inspirational environmentalist who has plenty of ideas on green living and zero-waste. Her website is absolutely beautiful and the thing I love about her story, is that she became inspired by the plastic free July challenge, just like me. Don't miss her blog, it is well worth your time. Treading my own path.
So there you have it. Some other bloggers for a bit of extra inspiration. I hope I can keep up with some more regular blogs so let me know if there is anything you would like to hear about.
