It's that time again :(
I'm sure we are all wondering where the holidays went and wishing we had actually gotten out of bed and done something rather than watching Netflix all day. Oops!
I also know that its hard to remember things like Plastic Free July but its so so important not to give up. Here are just a few tips to help you stay on top of Plastic Free July at school...
1) Reusable water bottle. If your school doesn't have a water bubbler or refill station then you should seriously get them to consider it. Bottled water costs 10 000 times the amount of free tap water and it is such a waste of plastic.
3) Reusable lunch box. These are available from pretty much any super market and are super cheap. Smash is a very popular brand and they make really good quality lunch boxes that look great and will save you heaps of single use plastic.
4) Paper bags. I know at school plastic bags tend to come in handy for lunches and projects and homework but paper bags are a much more environmentally friendly option. Keep track of your paper bags from Typo and Cotton On and reusable for school bits and pieces. Plastic bags are really not worth even considering.
Hope these few tips gave you a bit of inspiration to stay on top of Plastic Free July and check out this link to see what awesome things other schools are doing for Plastic Free July...
